1:1 Peer Support

One-on-one (Telehealth or Zoom) conversations that facilitate deepened self-intimacy

Peer support is for folks who value continued self understanding. For peeps who may feel isolated in their experiences, are experiencing something new or untangling new feelings, feel stuck in life circumstances, want to brainstorm or bounce ideas, feel “wrong” in how they’re feeling, want to express in an unbiased space, desire to understand themselves better, crave a space to be seen and held, are ready to celebrate their unique selves!

Peer Support with ess IS…

  • 1:1 therapeutic chats to discover clarity, unearth deep knowings, learn yourself intimately and promote relational healing.

  • A supportive relationship (aka community care). Aka..Being seen and known by another human who “gets it”. This can support us to accept all aspects of ourself and allows us to sink more deeply into our authenticity and solidify our sense of self.

  • An unbiased container in which vulnerable / less dominant parts of ourselves can emerge and be expressed.

  • A chill, judgement free zone to share, ask, untangle, ponder the hectic shit unfolding in your world...with an ex-therapist and human who has shared lived experiences with Queerness, ADHD, PMDD, PTSD, Depression + Anxiety, Disordered eating, Non-traditional relationships/career/lifestyle, Child-free living, Creative pursuits, and more…

  • Collaborative untangling and understanding of life stuff (e.g. relationship patterns, self doubting narratives, understanding dreads and desires, career shifts, sexuality exploration, managing coping strategies or triggers, life decision-making, tending to big feelings and so much more..)

  • Sharing of stories, strategies and resources to support whatever is happening in your current experience.

  • Actual practice in authentic, honest, courageous, healthy relating…with someone who also actively engages in self reflective practices.

  • Brainstorming and learning new ways to develop life skills that uniquely support your specific triggers or no-longer-helpful coping strategies.

  • Support connecting to whole self to determine your truth.

Peer Support with ess IS NOT...

  • Unpacking or processing past trauma for the first time (rather, holding space for the ways in which past experiences continue to impact you today and finding supportive ways to move forward)

  • Diagnosing challenges you’re experiencing.

  • Advice giving.

Peer support is online so can be accessed from wherever you are!
